Stirling Council
Local authority for the Stirling Council areaStirling bid zone (business improvement district) economic development - open data Edit
A Business Improvement District (BID) is a defined area in which businesses work together to invest in local improvements.
BIDs operate for up to five years and are developed, managed and paid for by businesses through a compulsory BID charge called the BID levy. If the businesses that are part of BIDs want the BID to continue once the five years are up, another vote must take place.
There is no limit on what projects or services can be provided through a BID, as long as they are an addition to services provided by local authorities.
