Stirling Council - Environmental Health

  • Public Health Funerals from 2013 including name of deceased, date of birth, gender, interment (burial or cremation), funeral cost and date.
  • Under the National Assistance Act 1948 funerals should be arranged by Local Authorities for those who have died where relatives are either unwilling or unable to pay, or where no relatives can be found. 
  • The Local Authority may seek to recover costs from the estate of the deceased.
