Stirling Council
Local authority for the Stirling Council areaEmployment land audit (2022) planning - open data
Employment Land Audits provide an annual update on the supply of employment land across the Stirling Local Development Plan area and an
overview of planning and development activity relating to employment land uses in the Stirling Local Development Plan (LDP) area.
The audit will inform the consideration of planning applications that relate to employment land or sites in employment use, specifically with regard to the requirement to maintain an effective land supply. It also assists in monitoring the performance of LDP policies and the strategies which underpin them.
For the purposes of this audit, and the LDP, ‘Employment’ is defined as encompassing activities and uses falling within use classes 4 (Business), 5 (General Industry) and 6 (Storage and Distribution) of the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) (Scotland) Order 1997. ‘Employment Land’ is defined as land currently in use, designated in the LDP, or with planning permission for ‘employment’ uses.
